  1. Find a useful starting point.

This first edition covers selected Portland shops. It isn’t a complete city directory, a review platform or a live appointment service.

  2. Understand the fee.

Published fees may cover labor, a package or included parts. Read the scope and ask for the full price for your bike. No price is invented to fill a gap.

  3. Confirm, then go.

Hours come from shop websites. Special closures and availability can change. Call or visit the official site before travelling.

HOW THIS DIRECTORY WORKS

Useful details. Clear sources.

Spoke & Gauge is an independent directory project from Cage Venture Lab. Listings are compiled from shops’ own websites, not direct business confirmation. Shops are not affiliated with or endorsed by this directory. No shop pays for its position.

Each listing links to its official sources and shows a check date. Map pins use shop-published coordinates or US Census address estimates. After 30 days without a source recheck, this site stops claiming open/closed status for that listing.

Questions or corrections

Report a correction or ask about this directory: cageventurelab@gmail.com. Include the shop name and a source link. Please avoid sending sensitive personal information.

Location & privacy

Location access is optional and requested only when you choose it. This application keeps coordinates in page memory, clears them on reload or “Clear my location,” and does not send them to our own server.

Map tiles come from OpenStreetMap and disclose the viewed area and ordinary request information, such as your IP address, to that provider. Google Maps links open an external service; a nearby search uses rounded coordinates if you shared location. Each provider applies its own privacy practices.

This edition adds no advertising or analytics scripts, visitor accounts or cookies. Hosting providers may keep operational request logs. If you email a correction, the message and address arrive in our contact inbox.
